Greetings. I have always been a revolver guy. My first was a S&W K22 (Model 17) which was a present from my father at age 17 in 1959. I still have it and shoot regularly in my basement into a bullet trap which was gifted along with the gun. Over the years I purchased a Ruger Blackhawk .357, a Colt Cobra, and two model 27-2's in blue finish, each with a 8 3/8" barrel. The second model 27-2 led me here. It was an impulse purchase when I saw it in the dealer's case when I went to buy ammunition years ago. I couldn't resist having a spare. I've been shooting with a friend who has a Glock 21 and after several outings firing it with his supervision, I decided to get one myself after selling the 27-2. The second 27-2 has never been fired, and I have the original box, so I will be selling it on the forum after I do a bit more research. If the prices I have been seeing can be believed, I will have some money left over after buying the Glock. I guess that means I am no longer a "collector", since keeping the S&W unfired in the closet doesn't give me a lot of pleasure. I've learned quite a bit just from lurking the last few days.

Welcome from Texas Steve. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Guns are meant to be carried and shot.

Not being critical and nothing against the collector, but my guns will be allowed to roar and send lead downrange.

It is why they were made.
