New from Oregun

I am a 46 year old father of a 17 year old daughter who loves to target shoot, her mom does not shoot with us. I love fishing, hunting and classic cars. I have a '42 Chevy with an Olds 455 and upgraded suspension. I have done most of the work on it myself. My dad is dying of cancer and so he has been clearing out his guns, I am getting his model 15-3 2" Smith and Wesson to add to my family. I pick it up next weekend as we live 150 miles apart. I have my dad's first gun, a Winchester model 61 pump .22 made in 1950 and well worn. My other guns are a Winchester Model 94 Ranger that was my graduation gift, a Remington 30-06, a Hi Point C9 and a Model 949 H&R 9 shot .22 revolver with a 5.5 inch barrel.

Thanks for the comments about dad. He taught me to hunt , fish and love the outdoors, his time is close but I have had time for making sure things are good between us. I have so many good memories and even shot our guns together last summer before he started to give them to family members. He had to sell the S&W M15-3 so I was able to buy that one instead of it going away from the family. It will be my first real quality hangun and belonging to dad makes it priceless to me.
