Another new guy from Pittsburgh area! Lifetime civilian but family has extensive military (all branches) and law enforcement background. Former sim player, now it's on to the real thing and would also like to teach my wife to shoot. Tentatively shopping for decent gun ranges as well, so if anyone has any suggestions or would want to help as a sponsor, please let me know (my township doesn't permit the discharge of firearms larger than .22 and for vermin control only).
I recently bought my first AR, an M&P 15 Sport II, and I'm going to be building it out for close-mid range target and self-defense. I also happen to love natural-toned camouflage (not a hunter) and have already kitted the furniture with a 'Reaper Buck' MDI / Magpul set that a local guy had on clearance. As luck would happen, GunSkins had their Reaper Buck wrap on sale this month and I got some to do the upper/lower plus other various parts and six additional mags! I also ordered a NcStar dot sight which is painted in woodland camo. I'll post some pics in the 15 forum as I get further along.
The other parts of my stable are Hi-Point 4095TS carbine and JCP40 pistol, both in woodland camo, and they fire from the same exact magazines.
In case anyone around here doesn't already know, there's a big gun show going on at Monroeville Conv Ctr this weekend so if you were looking for a show, there's that.
