Picked up my new full size 9 earlier this week, finally had a chance to hit the range. Been shooting my 9c for sometime now, do pretty decent when i use the full size mag but have had my sites (pun intended lol) set on a fs and the free mag promo was the one to push me.

I have to say, impressed out of the box and i'm no long term expert. The fs feels a bit more balanced in my hand and the little extra length in barrel and site radius seems to help just a bit on my consistency and accuracy (at indoor range distances anyway).

The image with the 'B' (3" in height) was with my 9c at 7 yds. I'd be usually pretty happy with that result.
The other image is with 2 targets. The #8 (2" tall) is with the fs at 6 yds. And the 'X' (ring is about 2"x4" or so) was at 8 yds. Had one round not in the picture, i must have been thinking about getting a donut when i fired that one lol.

Anyhow, very happy with my new toy. And just think, i ran thru 150 rounds in less then 1/2 hour with 2 mags. What the heck am i gonna do when i get the other 3 mags?
;)

Gotta luv these M&P's!

I bought a 9mm Shield a couple weeks ago and it made me an instant M&P fan, I will be buying a FS9 in the next couple of weeks myself, the 3 free mags is a nice bonus. Good shooting!

I say, good job with both! :) My FS M&P 9 has been a joy to shoot and is very accurate & consistent out to 10 yards so far.
I also have the FS 40 & 45; so don't be surprised if your "collection" keeps growing! Keep shooting those M&P's, and if not already, you may want to think about getting into reloading-won't save you any money, but you can shoot twice as much! LOL :D

Ranger17, I am the opposite of you. I have had a fs for almost two years and picked up my 9c a couple weeks ago. As I stated in another post, my favorite is which ever one I have in my hands a the moment. My compact has already proven to be an asset when I conceal carry; not as much grip print to worry about and just a bit lighter to carry. The triggers on both are very similar and I expect the compact to improve a little as I get it broke in. These M&Ps can be a bit addictive...I'm already trying to figure out if I want a 40 or 45 next:cool:

I bought the FS first and was my first striker pistol (the others all had hammers). Liked it so much I bought a compact too. I shoot them both equally well (or equally poorly). I have a few XGrips too.

I liked them both so much I ended up getting a Shield too (all 9's).

I picked up a fs9 Wednesday, 300 rnds so far not a bobble. Sights were way off front site right rear site left. Front was really tight rear was just tight enough. I centered both and now it shoots center. I'm really pleased so far!

Played hookey today and snuck in some range time. Ran another couple boxes worth of umc & blazer brass thru the new fs9 and it just feels perfect in my hand. After practicing with the target distance from 5-10 yds (10 is max at this range) i finished with a mag full fired quickly at 6 yds for add'l enjoyment.
Paper bad guy did not win this round. ;)
