I just received my Altamont grips. They included a pin. It looks like the pin could fit a hole near the top or one near the base. Thanks if you can help. Oh... this is for a model 19.

The stock locating pin is at the center of the lower grip frame; it is about 1/2" long. If your model 19 is original, one should be present there already. Funny that Altamont includes one if so, but in a good way :).

It has nothing to with the S&W grip pin. Some of their grips include one or more alignment pins that eliminate any play between the halves. I'll pull mine and see where it is.

I bought it with a aftermarket grip. So the factory pin is long gone I imagine

Mine does have two; one at the top and one at the bottom. Double check the packaging and look on the floor! If you can't find it, phone Altamont and ask them to send you one.

Here's their Phone # (800) 626-5774

I will call. I only found one and after shooting it there was some play in the grips. Thanks so much!

I think they look pretty good on the 19
