I was on SR5 in N. Stuart, N. of the bridge, when I saw stick in the ground signs saying "gun sale", then I noticed a new gun store/surplus store in the strip mall next to the road. I'm thinking, "Oh, cool".
On my return trip I stopped by. As I walked up to the door I saw some signage that appeared to support the 2nd amendment, but next to that were two other signs. One was the standard square sign with the image of a handgun with the red circle with the line through it. And then in case that wasn't clear, in pretty large letters next to that is clearly states "No Firearms". I've noticed it's fairly common for stores to have "No Firearms" signage posted but to also have next to that, signage stating "Licensed Concealed Carry Welcome" or words to that effect. But there was no such signage present.
Not expecting a gun shop to have a total no firearms policy I stuck my head in the door. There was an employee sitting at a desk close by so I questioned him on the signage. He replied that that's what the owner wants. (He didn't sound very happy but that could just be his personality.) I simply replied "Well he won't get any of my business." I then pulled my head back out of the door and left, never to let my shadow cross the threshold again.
If I remember, the next time I go by that way maybe I'll get a picture.
