New Gun show table price....

I don't think the collector vendors dropped out per se, I think they were forced out due to changing rules in a changing world. Many promoters now require an FFL and/or a sales tax license to do business and many of the municipalities have jumped on the bandwagon by requiring a "business license" albeit sometimes only a temporary one. It's all about the Benjamins...

I've done big gun shows on an irregular basis for more than forty years. Sure, table prices have gone up, but it's still pretty cheap entertainment for a weekend. I've never gone to these things to make money, but I guess it happens sometimes. I suppose it's all in your perspective.

Yeah, I quit going to gunshows too.

Too many purses, axe handles, that guy who has all the books on how to overthrow the gov't.

Tables of peepaw's old pump 12ga priced more than a new gun.

Then you get the table of a bunch of nice guns that aren't for sale, just a HEY LOOK AT MY COLLECTION guy.

Hard pass

THIS!!!

9 Years on the gun show circuit I could not have said it better!!
( If your familiar with Florida you know who.)

Great guy to work for but the county rules changed. No more walking the isles with Pops gun on your hand.
Orange County ( Orlando ) OMG.. anybody can buy a gun at a gun show without a background check!!!

The print and TV media made a big deal out of it!! The only way to protect the business was to have FFL's in attendance.

I still see some pretty good guns and grips at the shows I attend. More so in the colder months. Even when I don't it's a fun couple hours browsing. Meet some pretty nice people.

Tables are $100 here.Up from $75. One of the shows you do need a tax license for a table.

One of the main complains I hear is that the promoter has so many a month in Pa he is watering down the need. Also to keep your spot you have to buy tables at a bunch of shows.

Gun shows have changed, I haven’t in almost 45 years. FFL for 13 years, I could routinely make bank. 20 years up till maybe 2017 I could make up to $500 in half a day at the Lakeland show. Orlando Fairgrounds show is Khaled’s inventory, which you can see free at Apopka store. Lakeland hasn’t been the same since leaving the Center but still worth the drive. Zero deals anymore unless you’re willing to search mightily. Still better than what they will be on a few years. Joe

Haven’t been to a gun show since …… well, can’t even remember the last one. I do remember they use to be an enjoyable afternoon entertainment and the occasional bargain. I stopped going because, here at least, they stopped being “fun”……..

Never found any really good deals at gun shows but I didn't start going to them until the mid 90s.
Once it occurred to me that with the cost of travailing to the show, parking fee, and the cost of admission I was better off going to the local gun store.
I have never had a LOS charge me for parking or admission. Plus the there are several LGS that are closer to me then most of the gun shows.

Now that we have a 3 day waiting period here in Colorado the lane gunshows have become no goes for me. Outside of guns there’s been nothing I can’t cheaper at local shops or online/forums.
Table prices are making to harder for the little guy but maybe that’s the reason, hmmm.
