Went up to the O Show this AM, I wonder if anyone else got the 2nd "Yes the show is still on" email. Pretty much a ghost town, maybe 5 01 FFL's in attendance (including Shoot Straight) and all were willing to deal. The pawn shop from Sarasota had a few deals around. On 1 st pass; a clean Model 36 ser range JXXXXXX for $350, a Kahr P9 for $250 and a Kahr CW 45 for $270. Walked the rest of the show, Beckwith's tables were the only interesting wares in the "little room."
I never seen so many Glocks, pretty much every number from 17 to 48. I do regret passing on the blue Model 19-4 a little further up, mechanically sound pinned but I don't think recessed for $350. A big patch of rust turned me off but now thinking "I could have cleaned that up." All the guns were gone on second pass, phew.
New S&W revolvers started at $449 for a 642-1 up to $2K for a .460.
I talked to Khaled for a short while, in a surprisingly good mood considering the lack of foot traffic. I guess he was happy to have a show at all considering the storm. I bet the Fairgrounds wouldn't refund the rent so every $ cuts the loss.
We might be done for the year, Doc will be out of town for Thanksgiving. Lakeland is 3rd weekend in January, a little more than 90 days out. More "opportunities" there and more to see. I always complain about "surrendering" my 01 FFL 30 years ago. Nowadays the gun business has lost the "fun" aspect and that's the most important part. Joe

Some sensible prices there. How long before they appear on armslist or BrokeGunner at less sensible prices?
