New guy introduction

Welcome from Connecticut and thank you for your service ! Sounds like a nice collection of revolvers. Careful here though as this forum has a tendency of increasing your spending in that area I have found.

Welcome to the forum. Been fighting glaucoma myself for about 10 years. When I had my cataracts removed the doctor also put in tubes to facilitate drainage and they have worked wonders for me. Off of drops for almost three years now. Keep up the fight.

Welcome to the forum. From upstate South Carolina

I am another blackpowder shooter, but I never messed with those cartridge things.

I never messed with the front loaders myself but always wanted to. Time ran out before I got there. I’d still buy a flintlock if a certain friend here would ever sell. He’s kept about five he’s built of the most elegant rifles I’ve laid eyes on. I shouldn’t be adding anything but its a hard habit to break. I won’t win anymore matches, regardless what I buy but still a little fun to be had. If I ever heard Shackleford was letting one of those go I’d buy if I could still drive to get there:-)

I was still shooting (in fact getting ready for the Quigley) when I had surgery. Ko’d me completely. I was doing better than they could understand till then. Just horrendous eye fatigue at the line. Always last to finish. But with 95% of my optic nerve dead I was blessed to have the opportunity and confounding them. For 16-18 years I thought it was the 40yr old lens-hardening issue. Mine was the hereditary kind, so pressure was not the biggest issue, though they still control it (keep it way low) with drops. Glad yours is doing so well. Never realized anyone got off drops! John

Best of luck with your eyes. I'm always sad when peoples' important senses go South, so to speak, especially the eyes.
Welcome from some town in Western PA. It rhymes with Pittsburgh. From some of my posts you'd think I was a total idiot. Not true. I'm only a half-wit! Hope you bring some good gun stuff (topics) with you because I need all the help I can get! Welcome!
