new guy model 29 questions

haha didnt know you were on this forum, was the trigger re worked? it is extremley smooth i was very suprised at how easy it is in double action, im trying to find a good vertical shoulder holster for it, i want one that wont wear the blueing off it, it will only be in the holster when im out on my snowmachine any ideas? or happen to have one you want to part with? i love the gun by the way, i couldnt remember the name of the wood for the life of me

never took that one apart but I think its just a good one from the factory that got better with age.. As for a holster i think anyone is going to ware on the gun over time (but don't worry about it,it has honest ware already) I think big box sporting goods store in town has some alaskan made holsters that ride in lower chest area so as not to get in the way of your arms and beat up your elbows..

Check me out at the show coming up, I will have some other smiths out and a great well worn 28 for sale

$50.00 for a set of Herretts is a great deal as well as they will cost $100+ if you order them new.
The 29-2 is a great revolver. The last of the pinned and recessed.
The cylinder throats on that should measure .432. That means nothing if you are shooting jacketed bullets but if you shoot lead it may mean some leading in the barrel unless you find bullets sized to .432.
I reload and order bullets from Dardas sized to fit my 29-2 and they work great.

i just picked up some cheap CCI 240 gr 1/2 jacketed hallow points and some buffalo bore 305 gr. ammo as well, but ater the cci's ill problably shoot remingtons, btw what is leading in the barrel? and what cleaner should i use or not use, i dont want to use somthing that will damage the finish
