NEW KIMBER K6

Wow, tough crowd here...

Congratulations on your new K6! I didn't know anything about the special first edition until I read your post and checked out their website. Gorgeous gun and I look forward to your photos.

Congratulations on your new Kimber. While Smith and Wesson will always be my first love, I do have other brands. From everything I've heard, this is a well made firearm. I only have one Kimber, an Ultra CDP II, and it is a very nice gun, and for a short barreled .45, exceptionally accurate. So I am not an authority on Kimbers, but from my one experience, I have to say they make a nice gun.

Best of luck with yours, and we are all looking forward to lots of pictures, and a range report.

Best Regards, Les

$1,800.00 for a Kimber 6, and I thought $899.00 was to much of a asking price.Learn something new everyday they say!

I also bought a K-6 about a month ago the standard model. All I can say is the fit and finish is amazing. The trigger is silky smooth and shoots like a dream. Also no MIM parts or internal lock. Like one other poster said their customer service sucks hopefully I'll never have to send it back for repair. I called their customer service to find out how I register it for the one year warranty and was on hold for 35 minutes before somebody answered the phone so that kind of tells you what you're up against with Kimber. But I'm willing to take my chances.

I didn't wade through all the responses, too much like a political debate in that you won't change anyone's mind. The K6 is a great revolver. I have not seen one of the collector series, but congrats! Smith could take a lesson here. I don't know what they go for around the country, here they run a little under $800, If I were not trying to clean out the safe (I better find it first!), I would have one.

I bust my hump for every dollar as I'm sure everyone here does. I say buy what you like, regardless of what others say. I'm not a Kimber guy and wouldn't buy one, but I'm certain I've spent a pile of hard earned cash on things others here would cringe at. Enjoy the gun, and enjoy shooting it too!

Being that MSRP on this gun is $2,039, I would say you got a good deal. Enjoy! It is pretty, cant wait to see one in person.

KIMBER K6

Yep-my guy is a high volume dealer and his prices are great. It was $1,849 plus tax. I like it so much after shooting it if he had another i would buy it.

There's your answer - one to sit on and one to shoot! They look great and reports seem very favorable. Congrats on your purchase.
