A few days ago I went to purchase a Winchester M-100 308..(like new BTW)..Asked the fellow if he had any others for sale...one of the ones he trotted out was a very nice 34-1 2 inch round butt little gun. I truly looks as new but has been fired.. Well since the price WAS 200 bucks I just had to buy it. Really nice little gun. Just wondering on a realistic price on the gun. Will probably trade it on a somewhat larger version of 22 revolver as it is just too small. Found a really nice K-22(5 screw) I want to buy for 600 bucks. I bought 9 guns total from the fellow but this was the only Smith he had darn it. He had sold a 29 just before I got there:(..Almost all the rifles he has look unused

its in the $400-$500 range i would guess.....wonder what the 29 was!

550.00 - 600.00 and maybe more on GB. Great deal and thats putting it mildly! Love my little 34, thats a SB! Their great little shooters and carry well for hiking.

Good grief.. I didn't think they would be in that price range.. back when i had my shop in Md these little Smith's didn't go for anywhere near that. I do wish i had the box.. I am a box retainer..I even had the box for a 1956 Win M-70 when i sold it..and it was worth money too. I am going to sell it soon as i find a nice 4 inch blue M-57..Just what i need..another 41 mag..but I do traipse around in grizz country(we have lots of 'em) and don't like the 44 mag all that much. The 29 was a 29-2 in 6 1/2 inch..I had seen it before but he didn't want to sell it then. It was in the presentation box and like new the last time i saw it..He sold it for 550. I already have one but could always use another..Looks like this 34 is going to help finance a 57 when i find one.. I found a 4 inch nickle at the gun show but had already bought a Ruger 44 Spec flattop and it left me a bit short on funds for the 57.. I have other 41's but no 44 spec( my favorite caliber). Hate having to decide whether I want to buy another gun..or food. Momma always says food. LOL

Hold on to that 34-1 2". You may be arrested for stealing it anyway.

That brings up an interesting story.. I got stopped by a local State trooper here one day as one of my brake lights was out. It just wasn't snapped in..but i had just bought 3 guns at a yard sale..They were laying on the seat..and the cop noticed 'em. He said..wow..where'd ya get the guns. I told him at a yard sale down the road..he was nuked. Said he knew he shoulda stopped and looked around. One was a Nazi marked Hi-Power..in really nice condition..I had actually paid 200 bucks for it..When he asked how much I had paid..I told him and he said..I ought to arrest you for hiway robbery..Cops don't get too excited about guns in plain sight here ya know. We can carry concealed with no permit also..

There are grips out there that give the 34 a K-frame feel and length of pull. The set I picked up with my revolver were Pachmyers. I don't know if they are still in production, but it can't hurt to check around for Pachy's or other makes.
34s are just too sweet to get rid of. Keep it and save up for the "other" gun!

I slapped a Tyler on mine and it works well for me. Box and revolver were together and in fantastic shape IMO. I could see a larger hand person stepping up the size. For a 2" barrel accuracy is darn good. I took a couple of rabbits with it and will try for some squirells this fall. Great stew they make!

Wyoming sounds like my kinda place Skeet!

Here's the only pic I have of it with an unfired model 15. The 15 waxed up and is still in the box and will stay that way. My one and only safe queen.

I have a J-frame rubber combat grip on mine at the moment, so it can stand in for my M49 CCW. With the little lemon-peel panels, it is almost impossible to get a good grip with my large-average hand.
A T-Grip on my M49 makes it one sweet little shooter, while retaining the classic appearance of the original grips--I can't imagine shooting .38s without the adapter!! OWIE!!!

esmeralda makes some very nice j frame grips. i have a pair on my 2in 34 rb.
