Thanks, picture doesn't do it as much justice as in person, far as holding up, I think it will last for awhile,I had done this for my dads Xd Tactical 45 4 years ago, and it has held up pretty good, the white has gotten a little subdued but looks great.
I used some white finger nail polish, tried to not slather whole area as much as I could, let it dry a bit, then used some alcohol prep pads with a little fingernail polish remover just dampened not soaked then keeping pad as flat to surface as possible wiped surface gently untill all that remained was the logo and lettering. Thanks for the input guys!

LOL, my wife just kinda rolled her eyes when I told her what I was going to do and that I needed to borrow her Fingernail polish bin.
Looks great.

It looks good I got mine today had a lot of stuff to get done I got to get it all cleaned up then start putting rounds thru it I really like the white lettering.

I saw on Hickok45 video of the shield and his loaner shield was done in red instead of white, I didn't like the red as well as the white though.

I tried several colors of nail polish fill on my Shield:

White (too bright/distracting)
Light Blue (what was I thinking?)
....then...
Metallic Gold...ah, that's the ticket...looks great against the black!

It's lasted now so far over one year and over 5,000 rounds in spite of cleanings and exposure to solvents after all range trips. Looks no different than when I first applied.

All the guns in this thread look very professionally done. They are very clean applications.

Personally though, I've never been a fan of advertising. I prefer my guns just plain black. If I could, I'd get the M&P without any lettering on the slide at all.

Looks great, mildly subdued, and matches the same kinda gold toned color on the side that comes from the factory outlining the fact that gun can still be fired without mag, great choice!

Not advertising, no-one will see it but me. Just a boring day with nothing to do. [emoji53]

No offense intended.

All writing on the outside of anything is advertising.

I don't know of any gun that is completely void of it. Some custom builders will remove it when buying a new gun, but that's not common.
