Nice gun. I've wanted one for awhile so please post after a few trips to the range and let us know how she works out.

Hey Cactus Jack,

Looks good just a couple of questions. Is it hard to take the saftey levers off and did you black out the area behind the levers. What kind of holster and and mag carriers are those? Looks really good been thinking of picking up one myself!

First field strip the pistol, then you drive the 2 pins out of the frame, then lift the whole assembly out of the frame, then pull 1 side of the lever off, note the position of the metal piece under the left side saftey, this piece may come off.Next take your dremel tool with a cut off wheel and cut the safety lever off the retaining piece. You will see what I mean when you have it apart. If you don't put these retaining pieces back on the pin will walk out.Study the safety levers carefully before removing them and you will see what I mean by the retaining pieces, cut just enough of the levers off so you can see the end of the pin, reinstall safety retaining pieces, reinstall barrel assembly back in frame.Be careful and note the position of the main spring cap and the lever.Drive pins back in.Touch up ends of safety retaining pieces with flat black paint. It pays to study the operation of everything before you do anything.
The holster is a Comp-Tac belt holster, the mag pouches are a couple of 9mm pouches that I picked up from one of the vendors at the IDPA nationals many years ago I forget what brand they were.I modified them with a heat gun to fit the 22 magazines.
Brian_P The reason I took the safetys off Number 1 is that my 9mm full size doesn't have one.Number 2 is that it is not needed.

I can definately see number one, but out of curiosity, why do you think it's not needed.

I'm a fairly new handgun owner, bought my M&P22 less than a month ago, and live by the safety when not pointing the weapon down range.

I can totally understand it being a preference thing, just always open to new thoughts.

It has the same trigger safety as the full size M&Ps,it would be available without one but it was made in Germany where they are required.Ultimately the real safety is the operator of the weapon no matter how many safteys are placed on a firearm.
The lettering is printed on only as far as I can tell.

Wher did you buy it? I've checked locally in Virginia Beach (two guns shops) and have been told they are not allocated yet.
