A couple of questions re: my new no-laser M&P .380: (1) Is it okay to dry fire this weapon; and (2) Are the mags generic, i.e. do the mags for the laser models work in the newer no-laser models? I've read through the materials that came with the pistol but no info on these two questions.

BTW this is one great little gun. One hundred fifty FMJ rounds so far and not a single failure of any kind.

Thanks in advance.

Yes it fine to dry fire your weapon. You can buy dummy ammo right of hand can not remember the name of it but it fine for dry practice. When you say generic as long it for the MP .380 then yes it fine.

Just enjoy your weapon keep it clean a clean weapon is a safe weapon. If this EDC make sure you buy a quality holster you MP will thank you.

I use A-zoom aluminum snaps caps in my BG380. they make for great dry firing practice but yeah in the manual it does say its safe to dry fire. For a carry holster I use a DeSantis Sof-tuck #106 which is soft suede and is very comfortable to wear.

Thanks everyone, I'm using a Galco suede pocket holster that works great for this little gun.
