New M&P 40

Hey guys, I just purchased a new M&P 40. Price was 479.00. I traded a glock 23 for it, only paid 30.00 difference. But my question is, the pistol doesn't have "Stainless" on the slide. Did I get a different model? I know it is still an excellent weapon, and it only came with one extra mag. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Sorry guys, I found the answer to my question. Smith and Wesson discontinued the stamp on the slide early this year to cut down the cost and still supply good quality weapons. The slide is still stainless.

Congratulations!!! I'm hoping my .40 gets here next week.

From what I understand the newer M&Ps don't have the word "stainless" stamped in the slide anymore. However, its still stainless steel slide.
