I've got a Comp-Tac MTAC for my M&P40 and I don't think there's a better IWB. It's available for the compact models.

I bought a 40c last month, with about 200 rnds. through it at this point I haven't seen the first problem. Mine is a 109303, less lock/safety & mag safety. There have been a couple of various modifications on them over the years: mag release, magazine springs, etc.

Can't help with your IWB holster, I carry mine in an ankle holster. It's about like carrying a steel J-Frame.

Cheers,
Sam

No mag, no thumb safety 9c here. 15 months- 4+K rounds. No FTF/F or E's. Capable of doing an 1 1/2" @ 50 ft. (would likely do better if I could).
Carried daily. Only improvements I made, was a set of Novak's wide notch Tritium night sights (@ 6 months) because I couldn't find one with the factory night sights. And one of Apex hard sears (@ 1 year).

(EDIT)
These are rather helpful. Mine has the Horse hide (Thin and very flexible for comfort)

I tried the Supertuck, and while it's made quite well there was way too much leather for me to be stuffing into my knickers. Sold it off to someone with more room there. :-)

Got one last October & over all it's a great little gun Approx. 1000 rounds with no failures to feed or fire. The Ambi safety lever can be a bit of a "hang up"as it sticks out so far that it has a proclivty turn its self off & on by bumping in to things, clothing, the motion of your arms when walking etc. but its easy to converted to RT. or Lt. hand only. On the holster question I recommend Ray@Lobogunleather I have a IWB on order now from Ray & will post Pics when it arrives.

I have one that isn't even a month old with no safety but it has about 500 rounds in it and it runs great! No failures at all.

+1 on the Crossbreed holster. I use one for my full size M&P 9.

However, I have a Kholster for my Glock 26 compact. It is very much like the Crossbreed, and for a compact none of the gun touches my body, on a IWB. Also on Ebay they are only $50.

I've had my M&P9c for two years now. It's been flawless. I think the good folks at S&W have a winner in their M&P line.

I have a Comp-Tac MTAC and a K&D Maverick Defender for my 9C. I like them both depending upon what I'm wearing. A friend told me I'd probably have more that one holster. He was right. That may apply to you too. Enjoy the hunt!

If you don't have at least 3 you'll not have been holding up the tradition! I've (currently) got 3 for my 9c. One IWB, 2 OWB. I'm fortunate in that my climate is mild enough to not have hot weather be an issue more than about 1 month yearly. So I can get by just wearing shirt tails out to cover the muzzle of the OWB rigs for that month. There are MANY very good holsters for the M&P's out there. Lobo Gun Leather, Sideguard Holster are both members here and frequent posters. A pocket holster for a J frame covers the rest. I am looking into a shoulder rig for the 9c in 2010'. But Andrews pricing means I'll need to save up for it!
