i picked it up new earlier this month with the green CT laserguard. i notice that the magazines only insert about halfway and that i have to slightly depress the mag release for it to insert fully. is this normal? i looked inside the grip and can see the opposote side of the mag release thats protruding out enough to prevent mag from going in... just seems like an odd design if thats how its supposed to perform. thanks!

Dont push button in if you slam it in, it will chamber a round for you. It will be live and ready to fire.

The only time mine will chamber a round is if I have the slide back and let it forward with a loaded magazine in it.

The magazine goes in a little hard in mine. I can push the magazine button and it will go in better but if you just give the magazine a shove it will go in just fine.

The one I had was the same way, happy to get rid of it.

My wife's did this pretty bad when she first got it. After shooting a few hundred rounds through it the mag goes in much smoother now. Seems from the posts here on the forum this is a common problem that will get better with use. While it is a little aggravating it's definitely nothing to worry about.

thanks! i usually dont slam mags in, but i just gave it a shot and sure enough it pushed past the release, great!

Mine did the same thing. Its nothing to worry about at all.

When I bought mine the salesman said you were supposed to push the release button in to insert them. Now I'm curious.

Got my no laser model about a year ago and have put over 700 rounds through it. The mags do get easier to insert w/time & use. As long as the gun functions otherwise there's no real problem.
