hello all new to the forum and smith&wesson fire arms. i just picked up two m&p 2.0 in 5inch fde one 9mm one 40sw. my intended use is target and idpa. i ordered them from an online vender and when they came in i noticed that they didnt have the slide mounted lci. not thats its a big deal, id rather there not be one any ways. just wondering if this is some thing new or if my two guns were old stock that were laying around?

Welcome! The 2.0 is a fairly new model and is supposed to have the loaded chamber indicator. I doubt they make one without it. Can you post a photo?
 
i will try, not sure if i have to have a certain number of posts to do so
 
also i have found that the 9mm seems to have a "short/tight" chamber. did a plunk test on my reloads for my other 9mm pistols and the bullet get stuck in the lands
 
There should be a hole on top, between the slide and the barrel that you can see down inside of. That's how I see if I have a round chambered or not.

yes they have the witness holes, but from what ive seen the 5in is supposed to have lci dingus bar
