I finally sold my SW40VE and got a new fullsize M&P9. Havent shot it yet but I LOVE the gun so far. I went with the 9mm because of cheaper ammo and less recoil...Ill likely get the girl out more often with a 9 (and honestly I dont shoot the .40 all that awesomely either...got the flinches) $20 for 100rd vs $30 for 100rd...Im broke and ammo is going up so Ill be able to shoot more...and placement is power in my opinion.

I do have a question about the warranty. I was under the impression that S&W have lifetime warranty. My manual says ONE year! Whats up with that...just to cover their butt or is it really only ONE measly year? Lifetime warranty was one of the main selling points for me. Does anyone know about this? Thanks in advance.

My take on the warranty is as follows:

1-year warranty: is for both parts and labor for any manufacturer defects
Lifetime Warranty: is for labor only for any manufacturer defects

I could be wrong, but this seems to be the standard operating procedure for most industries.

thanks. Does anyone know about/have experience with the S&W action package for this gun? $100 for polished ramp, tuned action, install performance center sear. Awesome? good? bad?
