So I picked up a 15-22 used from a buddy of mine who aquired it in a trade. It's a DTM serial#. So I put approximataly 250rds of CCI Tactical through it today, and had around 7 FTFs. The rifle shot great, and with a TruGlo red dot,was very accurate @ 25yds. I haven't tried the extractor fix yet, will that help. What would S&W charge me if I utlimately had to send it back for repair? Thanks gang.

Shouldn't be the ejector's fault if it's not firing some rounds. Hmm, I have no clue if the lifetime warranty keeps jumping around from owner to owner. I forgot, does the DTM have blue springs?

Make sure that you are loading the magazine properly, which the are lots of posts and a video on this subject. Also make sure that you aren't using any truncated rounds or Remington ammo in general.

(edit)

And also clean it real good!

No blue springs, cleaned well before I went to the range. Will break it down again and clean it up.

Also try different ammo, my 15-22 doesn't really like CCI or Federal Bulk for some reason, but it loves the Remington golden bullets. (Yes, I know the manual "recommends" against it). Try out different ammo and see what works best for your gun.

When I asked them, Smith & Wesson said that the warranty is only for the original purchaser. That's part of the reason I don't hesitate to drill or cut on mine. If I'm going to have to pay for ANY work done, I'm going to enjoy it.

Woah, what a weird rifle you have hahah. I've shot a few Gold bullets when I was having trouble with CCI Blazer(thought "eh, what the hell..already having problems!") and they fired.

Paid $26 for box of 375 CCI Tactical Rounds. So far I've had 3 misfires out of ~200 rounds. Thing is the cheaper CCI Mini Mags, Federal Game Shoks were eaten completely by the 1522.

These 15-22s are finicky, but this is a first. I also agree with the "try a few different types of ammo" suggestion. And congrats on the new rifle.

Well,I've got 3 boxes of CCI left,so I'll let it ingest that first. Gonna polish the feed ramp and see if that helps.
