Happy New Year from upstate NY. This site has a ton of good information. Thanks! I have been lurking here for a while and purchased my 15-22 a few weeks before the rush. Thanks again for the great info and for helping me decide to buy a 15-22.

Welcome, I am alos from Upstate NY and just picked up my 15-22 yesterday. I live in Greene County and belong to the Coxsackie Sportsman Club.

Welcome

Since your in NY, how do you like the adjustable pinned stock ? Its the only thing that pissed me off when I bought my gun.

Welcome from the Capital Region of New York. Where in upstate are you?

I'm glad to see you are a member of the NRA. Are you also a member of the NYSRPA?

David

Welcome fellow upstate NY person. Monroe county here.

Welcome from Dutchess County. It's funny how anything north of Westechester is "Upstate New York"

Nice set up! That is pretty much the same setup I was looking to get. bushnell trs25 and afg or vert grip

Long Island here. Stock is still better than the 5.56 version which has a pinned non-adjustible stock so I had to buy a new buffer tube to put on my new magpul moe stock which I then pinned.

BTW, I have been lobbying our State Senators and Assembly to make some tweaks to the language in our AWB as part of any revisions to allow adjustble stocks. Folding, removable or fully collapsible would still be no good, but if the smallest it goes is sill over 26" it would be ok. Would be a trade for a waiting period. They are also exploring a educational requirement, basically a 4 hour NRA class.

It's actually a bolt on muzzle brake from true shot technologies. I hope it's legal here in NY.

I really don't like the idea of the stock being pinned. It seems like it would be pretty easy to remove the pin, adjust the length and re-pin it.

I live in the village of Parish. It's in Oswego County, up by Lake Ontario. Not yet a member of NYSRPA. I'll look into it.
