Hey all.

Been lurking for about 3 or 4 days and decided to post my "Hello" and a pic of my 15-22 MOE. I've already learned alot from you guys here!

Some details:
-MOE OD Green stock
-FDE 1/4" Riser
-MOE FDE Grip
-XTM OD Green & FDE rail covers
-Black & OD Green Vertical Grip/Bipod
-125-lumens flashlight and mount

Also, ignore the "filled" in slot on the magazine...I photoshopped it cuz I hate the way the slot makes the magazines look. Hopefully Magpul or somebody comes out with a nicer magazine!

I also have a different bipod coming and if I like it like I think I will, I'm going to ditch the grip-pod and get a Magpul RVG in OD Green.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks guys!

"Hot-rodding" this thing up is addicting!

Once I get this one "finished", I'm thinking of getting a .223 AR-15. I had a M&P 15T about 2 years ago and like an idiot sold it. I've been out of the scene for a little bit...what would you guys recommend in the $750-$1100 range? (the less the better)

The choices in ARs are very plentiful now it seems and I'm wondering what to look into. I have a month-old Remington 700 .223 in Mossy Oak "Brush" pattern that I bought on impulse that I'd be willing to trade or sell to help offset the cost of the new AR, but I won't part with my 15-22 or my Sig P226 Tac Ops! The 700 is really a very nice, accurate rifle...I just think I'd have alot more fun with an AR (and I'm not a hunter...the 700 would be great if I was!)

Just broke my "baby" (M15-22) out of jail today. It was in lay-a-way for the past 4 weeks. I've shot my buddy's M15-22 and loved it so much, I had to have one. I got the MOE version also and dropped a NcStar 3x9x42 on it. Had to put a 1" riser on it and remove the rear iron sight, so that I could get the eye relief right... but think it's gonna be great. If the weather allows, going to pop some caps on it tomorrow.

Mapleleaf,
Asking what AR to is good better or best is like asking who makes a better pick up truck, Dodge, Ford or Chevy. We could be at this for days debating the pros and cons. And in the end everyone is still right. That my friend is why the good Ol' USA is the best place on the planet!
I have been very please with my two DPMS units. Find one with the options you want or don't want, then compare its price to similar models at other places.
I do think that the Colt models tend to bring a bit more $$ just for the name.

I ended up getting a Ruger SR-556. Got it for a pretty good deal - $1300 with a Redfield scope on it with Weaver tactical rings, case, 3 p-mags, cleaning kit, and Magpul FDE kit to match my 15-22 (stock, grip, rail covers).

Changed up the look a bit and added the Spikes Car-1 can.

Small red-dot optic until I decide what exactly I wanna put on this thing. I might end up with the Redfield Revolution scope that is currently on my Ruger SR-556 once I upgrade that optic.

Went to a gun show today in my home town. Bought some fun stuff for my M&P 15-22 also! I already have a Colt AR-15 HBAR.

I saw different makes of AR-15 -5.56mm (NIB) from a low of $639.00 to ~ $1500.00.
I think the next one I get I will build from the ground up. Start with a lower I like, etc. I get pleasure from doing the research, search for the lowest price, and putting it together.

I might use the Colt lower too start the build.
