Joined to sell or see if anyone has an interest in a pistol I inherited but seems I don't have that privilege. I'm stumped
Welcome from New Hampshire!
Join in, great people here. Before you know it you'll have enough posts.
You could post some pictures and ask "what's your opinion of this"? Discuss the model , attributes, when made, etc. Then offer it for sale once you have established yourself, and learn what your inheritance is and what it's worth from the S&W experts here... no more knowledgeable experts in one place on earth... than right here!

Welcome to the SW Forum - If you're interested in posting your inherited piece on the forum, we do require you be a member for 6 months and have 100 posts.

If you would like to avoid this, you may signup for an account upgrade so you can advertise your piece to the largest collectors of S&W pieces anywhere online. https://smith-wessonforum.com/account/upgrades

Thank you!

Welcome aboard from coastal North Carolina.

RonaldP, tell us about the pistol you inherited, maybe even include some photos so members can offer you some advice about the firearm.

Thanks for your welcome. I posted a pic but it was taken down because as new member don't have privilege yet so I don't know if this will be allowed. The pistol is a S&W SC Highway Patrol 50th year commemorative 1930-1980 model 66 .357 stainless highly engraved and gold badge inlay. It has a nice wood box . In 1983 my uncle bought it from the Officer ( a neighbor and friend ) who ordered it and I have the receipt from him to my uncle. when my uncle passed my aunt ask me to contact the officer to see if he wanted it back and I wrote him but he never responded. Beautiful piece . I was told it didn't look as if it had ever been fired
