Hello all, new member here, sorry if this thread is in the wrong place. I've had my 15-22 for awhile now and this place has been a plethora of information for it, just never found a reason to post.
Now that the formalities are done, my grandpa recently gave me and oollllld but in perfect condition Winchester 30-06 with a Tasco 3-9x32 scope on it (model #629A), and i cant figure the damn thing out.
Problem #1: The adjustment knobs seem to pop out, as if spring loaded, to allow adjustments, but seem like they should press back down and lock in place to avoid screwing up my sight in. And before someone asks, no, they are not just covers with the adjusters underneath like modern scopes.
Problem #2: The zoom adjuster either has some sort of trick to spin it, or is locked up. It is on 3, and can barely get it to spin halfway to 4.
Any input would be helpful. Both the gun and scope are from the 1970's so not much information on the interwebs
