Just getting back into shooting (and soon reloading) after more years than I care to enumerate!
S&W's I currently own include a Stainless 5906, a Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman with a 4" barrel (my fathers side arm as a cop in Milwaukee) and just bought a 686-6 that I have yet to heat up.
Originally I wanted a Python based on shooting one that my uncle had back in the early 70's; smoothest trigger I had ever come across at that time. However, my money tree died this last year, so that was out of the question.
Research did lead me to the 686, lots of good reviews from professional and end users. The only concern is the two lock-up issues that I found while digging around. Given the number of 686's with locks out there, 2 instances is statistically insignificant IMHO.
