Congrats on the new Shield. I've had one for just over a month, and I love it. Do give the gun a chance before considering changing sights. Often there is a break-in period for the gun and shooter. These are very capable of shooting like a much larger gun between the 7 and 15 yards, and I've seen some post pretty impressive targets out to 25 yards.
