Hello from out west.

While searching for additional information on my S&W 1046, I came across this forum and thought I'd give it a try.

I purchase my 1046 in the early 1990's while serving in the US Army. A friend of mine wanted to "upgrade" to a different gun. I must admit, growing up in the 80's greated an unhealthy bias for the 10mm pistol, as such I jumped at it and paid a lofty $300.00. After looking at what some of them have sold for over the years, I'd say I didn't do that bad on my first ever purchase..

Does anyone know how to tell which actual number the gun was when it was made? For example, was it the 101st of 151 guns made?

Thanks,

geohaskett

For more detailed information regarding your 1046, post in the auto pistol section. Lots more traffic there and good folks to answer.
