I am glad to join such a fine group of people with the same interest!
I come from a Law Enforcement Family and it now streches for 4 generation and Smiths have played a big part during that time!
My Dad carried a S&W for 44 years on duty and after retiring the second time his choice to carry was a S & W Model 10 2 inch that I had customized for him with all stainless parts internal, a dehorned hammer and special grips to fit his hand!
My younger Brother and now my son carry Smiths!
I have been a Police Firearms Instructor since 1974 and was fournate to be able to attend the S&W Academy for firearms training and also Armorer School taught by John Contro and Archie Dubia, "Mr. Smith & Wesson "himself!
During the 70s I was working at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy , which was the site of the NRA Police Combat Pistol Matches, where I got to meet many lawmen and gunsmiths from all over the country!
I am presently a Deputy Sheriff, Armorer, and Training Officer for the Local S.O. plus do additional work with other small departments .
Even tho times and equipment have changed it is still hard to beat a fine tuned Smith & Wesson Wheelgun!
