Hi all, I got my Academy Sports ad the other night and saw the ad for the SD9 VE and mentioned it to my wife. I think I'll just go down there and get one! Wife says, are you sure that's what you want? Little did I know she was having my son pickup the Kahr CW9 that I had been wishing for and was to be my Christmas gift. So I gave them both another good study and decided on the S&W. Walked into Academy and stood beside a guy that was just asking the clerk for the same gun I wanted! They sold 2 in just about 10 minutes!
I spent the extra 30 bucks and got the HIVIZ sights and stainless slide. I'm going to get the trigger and stainless rod and that's about it for a while. jdadoug

Hey thanks all you guys for the warm welcome, I appreciate it!!
So I've gotten out and run 2 boxes of shells through it and did a nice cleaning it up. It shot very good and not a single glitch to be had. I had a box of Winchesters and a box of Remington's, FMJs. I have the Apex trigger on order, and I think I'll get a Blackhawk Serpa holster.
Other than the long take up on the trigger the gun shot very nice and I am very happy with it over the Khar CW9. Here's a shot of it. Jdadoug
