New Mexico/Louisiana No Longer Honor Each Other

New Mexico and Louisiana no longer honor each other's permit/license to carry. Ending years of back and forth with getting answers from either state being almost as hard as finding hens teeth. You can see both states listings below. If you look at New Mexico's listing you will see that they state a lot of states don't honor them when they actually do. Leave it to New Mexico to remove in their listing that Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, South Dakota, Utah and Wisconsin honored the New Mexico Permit. Those states all still honor the NM Permit. New Mexico just won't list them for their residents to know that.

For those of you who don't know, since the election of the female governor, NM is in a dizzying spiral toward the Left. Way too many ways to enumerate. She's still called the governor, but she is a dictator who has enough left handed support in the Round House to get things done, and it appears she has a pretty large amount of support from the citizenry. Up to my last report, 24 Sheriffs and their County Commisioners have declared their Counties as 2nd Amendment sanctuary locations. Some of the populace are organizing in efforts to make a difference. I am not surprised at what has been reported here. I fully expect many states who honor NM CCLs now to revoke their reciprocity with NM. And the governor will be very pleased. Her agenda is a full onslaught against the possesion or carry of firearms in NM.
This is not meant to be political in nature. Just a considered opinion of what's going on there. Looks like it may be tough for me to go back there in time!

As I have the said for years, anyone that thinks America is becoming more conservative has not been paying attention.

Texas and Florida will be flipped to Blue States within the next 2 election cycles.
The Electoral votes they will carry over to any Liberal Democrat presidential candidate will ensure no conservative Presidents will be elected in our lifetimes.

To the OP, we probably have lots of elected officials who get power drunk. I know the new Sheriff of my county is that way. He's doing away with a lot of good things the former sheriff instituted. To top it off he is a convicted felon. I don't understand why people keep electing these types of people.

Your county Sheriff is a convicted felon? How can that be, does he carry a gun? Can he vote?

One of the reasons why I have applied for an Arizona permit since LA and GA honor them but not my NM one. Getting ready to take a road trip to FL in a couple of months.

Be careful ! That Az permit is a " non- resident permit . There are quite a few states that Do NOT honor a non resident permit . Last time I checked Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia , and Florida do not . I had an Arizona non resident permit and have traveled from Texas to Florida several times . Texas does honor the Arizona non resident permit. I have since gotten my Texas permit . Not a problem now to travel to Florida. Check before you assume all is well with your non resident permit .
