New model 1.5

Once upon a time, I had one that only had a two number serial number-either 66 or 99 if memory serves.I am positive that it was an untouched new model 1.5. From my reading here,otherwise,I see that the numbers on this model started about 25,000.
Can anyone shed light on this?

Are you talking about the Model 1 1/2 3rd issue Rimfire (tip-up) or the Model 1 1/2 Centerfire (top-break)?

If the tip-up you're right about the serial range. Could you have been looking at an assembly number? If the top-break, they started at 1with the serials.

It was a 32 rimfire.The two digit number was on the butt.

Camster. Number for the Model 1 1/2 Rim Fire gun you had start at 1. The 25,000 & up numbers are a different model 1 1/2 than yours. Ed.
