A great gun would be an exact copy of the original Model 27 .357 Magnum, but in stainless. Call it the "Classic 627". Half-lug barrel, with 3Ts, recessed cylinder holes, etc.
When it first came out, the 627 had a full-lug barrel and other unwelcome changes. Variations should come AFTER the standard model is introduced.
The same was true when the Mod. 16-4 arrived. A lot of us expected a return of the K32, but in .32 Magnum. Instead, the 16-4 had a long, heavy, full-lug barrel. Too heavy for a small caliber. They did the right thing when the 631 revolver arrived in J-frame.
