Hi Everyone, been awhile but I picked up a brand new S&W model 64 4 inch for 38 spl +p. The gun looks perfect and the lock up is great but I think I noticed a problem. The hammer sits to the left in the hammer slot and is ever so slightly rubbing on the frame. I don't think I can really notice it in the trigger pull but it is there. IS this something that the gun should be returned to the factory to correct? I have noticed there are shim kits to help center the hammer but I am in no way qualified to put them in. I looked at a couple other Smiths at the shop and many of them seem to have a hammer that is slightly left like mine. Thanks for your time!
