Still plugging away on a No. 3 I got a while back. You guys have been a great help... was able to acquire some parts from Numrich and Popperts. Chris Hirsch' name came up several times for expertise and possible parts. I contacted him and originally it looked good to acquire a " hand" but have now lost email contact with him... pray all is well. I was able to low temp weld and restore the hammer but the acquisition of a "hand" is allusive. My question to the forum again is possible sources for a 1878 (?) No. 3, 44-40 hand or interchangeability. If I can't acquire one these old hands are going to try to make one... as always thank you for any reply
