I just put these Round to Square conversion grips on my 64-7, I don't always like finger groove grips because they keep me from getting a good high grip.
This gun is a shooter and didn't need wood, for $16 I figured I'd try these new Hogues. I don't need all my guns to be "pretty"

They have no "pebbling" at all, just smooth rubber. They're very tacky which will probably wear off with use.
They're not pretty but they feel good, and still leave the gun with a "utilitarian" look. They also feel thinner than standard Hogues.
Hogue makes a non-FG wood grip so I guess they decided to make a rubber version. I wouldn't be surprised to see these as OEM grips on some Smiths in the near future. I think they also make them for the N frame RB.
It seems like these are geared toward 686's and stuff like that used for competition. Just a no frills functional grip for those who just need something that works and hate FG's.
