Hi folks, I just found this forum..........I bought a S&W M&P 15 22 Ops for my son and grand kids about 6 months ago.....I liked it so much, I bought me a 15 22 MOE.....

I have several of the other 22 cal look a likes......I would like to fill in the stamped lettering on my new Smith........My other "black" rifles all have metal receivers and the white paint wipes off easy after filling the letters...The paint on the polymer doesn't work so well.......How do you folks paint your lettering on your polymer receivers?

Hello, dan01,

I used the "Lacquer-Stick" on mine and it worked out really well. It comes in a variety of colors and is actually a waxed base lacquer paint. It looks like a large crayon, and you just rub it over the lettering you want high-lighted. Give it a few minutes to set up, then wipe off the excess with a rag and some mineral oil.

My application was 2 years ago, and today it stills looks like brand new! It's good stuff! Enjoy.......:D

I also heard of people using white-out... it was on a AR-15 so i dont know how it would react with the plastic of the 15-22

I want to thank all of you for responding so quickly......I will look into your suggestons.......

Dan

The Colt C 4 was the first 22 cal "look a like" rifle I bought...I really like it....I have never had any of the problems with the Colt that many have claimed....Mine has 2000 + rounds thru it with only a few FTFs......

My HK MP5 SD is a riot.....It is very accurate when I shoot it seriously and easy to get on target while shooting from the hip.....No FTFs with 500+ rounds thru it.

welcome and nice collection. i used some of the gf's nail polish on my guns.

I used acrylic paint on mine without any problems with removing the overflow.

I used crayons on my 15-22. It is easy to put on, you can use different colors, if it takes any damage while using it it's easy to patch up. Also easy to take off with Rem oil and Qtips. The finger nail polish works great on metal guns.

I used nail polish and acetone free polish remover. Any residual polish i took off using hoppes 9 and a cotton patch.
