1970 at the earliest with the J series serial #.

Looks like the butt has been filed, the last digit almost removed. Maybe a square butt converted to a rd butt?

Great observation. I didn’t even think of that since the stocks are numbered to the gun and appeared unaltered to my not so educated eyes.

Appears unmolested to me. Early 1971 is a guess for a ship date.
