Picked up my 15-22 yesterday. Got it from Big 5 with the 10% coupon so it ended up being 378+ tax&DROS. Put on a Primary Arms M4 clone red dot. Went out with the kiddos today after work for a bit and put 100 rounds of CCI mini mags and 120 rounds of Federal Bulk from Wally World with zero problems. Too windy to try zeroing in but is pretty good out of the box. Kids had a blast. Love the gun so far!

jackofall, where do your iron sights show up when looking through the M4? Give you co-witness? Thanks.

How do you like the 2 MOA size dot?

Yes it does.

Thanks for that feedback and let me know how you like the 2 MOA size dot.

You beat my Big 5 price by $100 (I keep thinking I missed out on five Fed 550 round value paks at WalMart!) - you did well.

Have put approx 1k rounds through and have had 5 FTE. Overall I'm very happy with it so far. Like the PA red dot with the 2 MOA dot.

I would have thought it would be more of a 1/3 cowitness? I would really like to know what it looks like with the iron sights left on.

When I look through the iron sights the red dot sits on the top of the front post. I can see if I can get a picture...not sure if I'll be able to get a decent one though.

No, that's OK. I was just wondering if it cleared them or not. Thanks!

That's how you align the dot properly for zero (if you zero the dot for the same distance as the irons). But when you use the dot you don't need as tight of a cheek weld, which allows you to use the parallax-free aspect of the red dot and have your head slightly higher than when using irons.

The lower 1/3 cowitness being asked about is when the irons only cover the lower third of the sight. See my pic below. Using the wide rear aperture I was able to take a picture showing how my sights align with the dot. If it was turned on you'd see the dot sitting atop the front post.
