One of my local dealers got in a new run of 3913 TSW's with the rail. Also in the batch were new CS45 chief specials and a CS9 (all stainless) which he kept for himself. Don't know any of the details of how he got them and whether there would be more. I picked my 3913 TSW up, took it straight to the range and pumped 400 rounds through it. It was one hole accurate at 10 yards and functioned flawlessly. I hope Smith keeps this up.

Does the 3913TSW have the integral rail or the black pinned one?

I do not believe this is a new run, but instead a vault clear out at S&W. You might check your dealer and see if he got these from the distributor Williams Shooters Supply in Quincy, Illinois as they got a couple thousand discontinued models from S&W a few months back and have been selling them off. I know that the models you mention were in the batch Williams got.

Most TSW guns have black, pinned on rails. There were only a few batches made of certain models (i.e. the 4566 and 4006), mostly special runs for police departments such as the California Highway Patrol, that had integral rails.
I'm not aware of any 3913TSWs with integral rails, most likely due to the alloy frame on the xxx3 models vs the steel frame on the above mentioned xxx6 models. There were, however, some 3913TSWs made during the first year or two of TSW production which did not have any rail, and used the shorter CS9 7 round magazine.
So the Pre-TSW 3913s have no rail and an 8 round magazine, the early 3913 TSWs have no rail and a 7 round magazine, and the later 3913 TSWs have a black pinned rail and an 8 round magazine.
