Hi, all –

I've pretty much given up hope on finding a K-32 that I can afford. I noticed that Smith is now making revolvers in the .327 Federal Magnum. The case dimensions (except for length) appear to be identical to the S&W .32 Long.

Does anyone know whether I can shoot S&W .32 Long in one of these .327 revolvers? Thanks.

Yep! .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Mag and .327 Mag. They'll all work.

Great! Now I just have to figure out how to keep the cylinder clean when shooting those .32 S&W Longs.

Thanks.

It's a Sports South exclusive. They are available but you have to check the #s most places just copied the description of the black one. The stainless SKU is 178045.

Thanks Bob - I wonder why S&W didn't catalog it and just reference contacting their distributor for more info?? With S&W I guess - who knows or can figure out some of their logic or more usually illogic!!

I bought a stainless 632-1 this year and l like it a lot. That 327 certainly is loud.

Well, I imagine it would be, especially from a 3" ported barrel. That's an area of concern for me, and may cause me to seek an alternative. I like the .32 S&W for giving people a gentle first experience with centerfire guns; if it's too loud, that could pose a problem.

The 327 MAG has to be one of the most versatile guns in my arsenal. Like stated above....shoots anything in 32 and it's great to hand-load for. The wife likes the 32 S&W Judy-Poopers as much, or more than she does shooting a 22. I hand-load and have a buddy that cast bullets in heaps, so I bought him a 32 bullet mold. As opposed to purchasing the expensive shorts...I can down-load the long a bit and it works fine for her at around 6 to 7-cents a round (primer and powder).
