Just picked up a slightly used SD9VE (still new to me). Over the winter I picked up a Mosin 91/30 to work on and restore. I was finally able to get it out a month or so ago and discovered that my 46 year old eyes can't pick up the target very well at 100 yards with the old iron sights. I was looking for a hand gun and found a young guy trying to get rid of his S&W. I traded him the Mosin and a few hundred rounds of surplus ammo straight up for the SD, holster and a box of ammo. He had all the original paperwork and the box, the spent cartridge from the factory was dated Dec 2013. This was a younger guy and he said he never had any issues except he heard you could fire glocks under water and since this was supposed to be similar he tried it and of course had FTF's. I was happy he was up front and honest about it and checked it thoroughly before doing the deal. It needed cleaned, so I did the field strip and took care of that. I have only fired one mag through it, but it functioned like it should. I also had to take the magazines apart and cleaned the light rust from the springs from being submerged. Looking to get out soon to run several magazines through and have some fun.
