Hello all, new member here and new owner of a Shield. Talked to my LGS a few weeks ago and he said they would be getting 25 in June but they have a waiting list 300 long, checked back the other day and the owners wife said they had 2 left of the 25 they received (early) and agreed to put one aside for me, I was shocked I was able to get one considering the long waiting list.

Went to the range today and put 110 rounds through it, absolutely reliable with no problems, very nice shooter with little recoil. I have to say I was a little dissapointed with accuracy, some shots were way off, the front sight is not even close, I tried to drift it with no luck, any tips?

Many new Shield shooters tend to shoot low left (if right handed), and it takes some practice to get trigger pull and grip adjusted to correct. I had the same problem, and now am reasonably accurate.

When you say the front sight was not even close, was it obviously not centered?

New m&p shield

Great buy of a outstanding weapon.
I used the 9mm shield as my primary carry for over a year now, and couldn't be happier. The ore iOS poster was correct about shooting low and left. I found it was my trigger pull and grip. Now with the two hand hold I use my left thumb firm against the take dnown lever and my trigger finger to the first joint, but still on the pad.
No more low and left. IMO you have the best concealed carry gun made
Good luck

Welcome

When I got my shield I shot low left took few trips to range to get use to the trigger now am also reasonably accurate.

Stopped by LGS looking for holster and they received box full of shields and was going down their list calling to let customers know they were in.

Shield, a quick look at the sight alignment shows it is placed to the right of center. I'll leave it as it is for now until I can shoot some more, maybe it's just me.

im not quite sold on the Shield yet.....wanting something like my G26 and my PM9.....im not seeing the benefit of the Shield.....

that said, i havent shot one yet, nor do i know anybody near me with one for me to try out.....just gun shop fondling.

I have a shield and have about 1500 rds through it, when I got it my front sight was off center to the right. I replaced stock sights with TFO's. I too had the low left and an apex trigger kit to lessen the trigger pull took care of that.
