New Shield Owner Here

Ok Curiosity got me and I just checked mine and I have 3 dimples stacked in a pattern almost like a half moon in shape and a notch above it about a 1/4 of inch long .
Oh and my build date was early September 2014
Hmmm lol

I just got mine today, can't wait to shoot it.
Just wondering what's the break in period for this gun?

I have had mine for maybe 2 years now and have hundreds of rounds through it and the spring and slide are still very firm compared to a Sig I sot today. Mine shoots like it was made to do. The only time I ever had a hang up was weak ammo as it does not care for that. Put some powder in the bullets and it will work every time you pull the trigger.

Took mine or the range this past weekend and put my first 100 rounds through it. After dry firing today I noticed the slide moves more freely and returns fully to battery each time I cycle it whole dry firing. So it seems it is broke in now as when dry firing previously before shooting it, it would hang up when cycling by hand.

I've noticed that all my M&P's have those markings on the slide .
Also if you feel you still need a grip that fills your hand more after using Talons I've read that some have put talons or Similiar on and then there slip on grips over it and that eliminates the slipping . For me the Talons are perfect , I've never been a fan of slip on grips but love my Talons they feel more natural to me and not so universal like slip ons with no slippage .
