New Shield Plus. First trip to the range today. Shot 170 rounds factory 115 gr FMJ. No issues with feeding or ejection. However I noticed two things.

1) The trigger safety lever pin backed out to the right from recoil, (under 1/16"). It was not like that prior to shooting, see pic. I tapped it back in. Solid pin not a roll pin. Has this happened to anyone else. If so, what did your do?

2) Appears to be fairly noticeable primer swipe on the spent cases. Is this normal on newer Shields?

Thanks for any help.

The pin in my trigger has never migrated. I would keep a close eye on it. Not sure exactly what the factory's remedy is. A new trigger perhaps.

I would consider the drag marks from the firing pin "normal", particularly with hotter loads or service/defense ammo.

The trigger pin on my Shield+ did the same thing during my first shooting session(50-60 rounds). I tapped it back in and have kept an eye on it during the next times shooting it, and it has not done it since. Probably 400 rounds since I tapped back into place.

The trigger pin on my Shield+ and Gen 1 Shield has never walked.
I am pretty sure primer drag on a striker fired pistol is common.
My Gen 1 Shield has over 6000+ rounds with zero malfunctions and my Plus is up to 2500 rounds and Zero malfunctions.

I have seen this question with those pictures elsewhere

Same answer below to keep everything uniformed

That same pin was out on mine when I got it & set it back flush with a brass punch with a small block underneath & elf hammer...
The Shield design has a striker return spring whereas the Glock does not, both Glocks & M&Ps seem to have primer drag...
