New 15-22 owner. Looking to add a front grip (for left hand), sling for carrying in the woods, and any other options that would be benefical for making this even better. What manufacturers would you recomment for the grip, sling, etc. Don't need the most expensive, but would be willing to spend some money for these items. Any thoughts?

its all up to you really! welcome to the madness. do some more research and find a part you want instead of buying the first thing you might come across. everyone has different tolerances for cost to benefit.

The things I've purchased for mine so far:
Riser for the top rail to get my red dot up higher
rail covers for handguard
rail mounted sling-swivel attachment for a bipod
bipod
extra magazines

Other than the extra magazines, all of that is personal preference. Buy what you need to get the rifle to do what you want.
You need to buy extra magazines.

I bought some rail covers after I chipped one of the rails being careless at the range. It wasn't a big issue, but I felt that $20 to protect the gun was a good investment and a more comfortable grip.

There are a ton of slings out there. You can probably find something adequate for less than $30 and add a sling loop to the hand guard with para cord or buy a sling adapter that attaches to the rail for around $20.

For the front grip you have a lot of choices. Straight grips come in a ton of variations, some have storage in the tube, different lengths and profiles, and some fold. Magpul makes the only angled grip. There's also a vertical grip that deploys two feet for a small bipod that works fairly well if you need support or go prone in the woods and don't want to lug around a dedicated bipod on the front of the gun.

If you bought the standard version you may want to replace the pistol grip. I find the stock ones are too small for me, it makes the reach to the trigger very short. If you like the size but want rubber Hogue makes a good grip. For larger plastic Magpul is a good choice. For larger rubber Falcon/Ergo makes a comfortable grip.

I just bought a Rail Stud Adapter, but don't have it yet. I also make a replacement for that HUGE sling loop on the buttstock. Now I will be able to use an off the shelf sling with QD (Uncle Mikes type) swivels.
The bipod adapters are OK, but they are a little heavy.

No doubt a good BiPod with a good BiPod adapter (like a LaRue or an American Defense) becomes a heavy and expensive item. But the nice thing is with a flick of a lever you can take it right off.

Jody,

Your sling mount is nice! shame I don't have a sling with the QD swivels. I am going to need to get one. Do you have any plans on doing a rail mount QD sling mount for the front of the rifle?

Here's a shot of a Harris Type (Shooters Ridge) BiPod with an American Defense AD-BP mount (throw lever is on the other side).

the best accessory is a second mortgage complete with another full time job. as previously stated welcome to the madness. Your stuck now you may not know it yet but you will forever want just one more item for your weapon, i've said many times that i was finished dressing her up and each time was a lie. but damn she sure is fun to shoot

added an AFG2 on mine plus the MIAD with the wedge. MI Industries sling swivel mount. extra mags have 4 total and Vortex Sparc Red Dot with a 2X magnifier, magpul MBUS sights and BAD lever.

I will be adding the upgraded latch for the Charging Handle from the guy on this forum. Set up pretty close to my "big boy" M&P 15.

the best accessories are extra mags and lots of ammo because these guns are addictive to shoot

I like this answer :) After I get some muffs and maybe prescription lenses for my new Revision Sawfly's, will need 1-2 more magazines!

best help is probably the last line

What is the B.U.F.F. foam bumper for? Nice to see you have your rifle outfitted just right for you. Customization is definately key.
