About 3 weeks ago my 21 year old niece approached my wife and I and asked about shooting. She came over a week later and we had about a 2 hour gun course. Safety, what kind of gun (revolver versus bottom feeder). I let her dry fire my 642 with the crimson trace grips. Taught her about creep and trigger control. When she left she was keeping the dot right where it is suppose to be. I asked her which one of my guns she wanted to take to the range limiting her to 4. She picked my 17-3, the 13-3, the nickel 10-7 and my Ruger P90. We went to the range on the 3rd and I started her out on the 22 she loved it, then we moved up to the 13-3 shooting 38's her grin got bigger. She wanted to shoot 357 so we did that her grin got even bigger. Next came the 38 snubbie she really liked that gun a lot!! But then she shot the 45 and even though she loved the revolvers she fell in love with the ruger if her smile would of gotten any bigger her face would of broke. She shot 250 rounds through all the gun and her favorite in order was the Ruger, the 10-7 snubbie the 13-3 and the 17. This young lady comes from a family of anti gunners, so to say the least they were not happy. Now the best part, the girl was GOOD we shot at 25 yd's and she got all but 15 shots on target. Head shots, bulls eyes she seems to be a natural as she had no preconceptions on shooting. She takes instructions well and has perfect stance. So to say the least I think we have a new shooter in our midst. Next she wants to learn to clean the guns and maybe I can teach her reloading. She is in her last year of college to be a teacher so she has a lot on her plate right now, but here's to a new shooter! Thanks for your time. Larry

Excellent ! Best way to convert an anti-gun person is to take them shooting with good instruction and proper attitude.

And one at a time is just about the only way to do it . . . .

Great story, if only more people would take that first step-- I'm sure bunch of those anti-gunner's would be pleasantly surprised with the sport of target shooting.
