New Smith 632SC in .327 Federalv !!

Dang it, I want an L frame .327 so I don't have to butcher my 16-4 by converting the cylinder. Does anyone have a ideas what this new one might weigh?? In comparision what does the GP100 weigh?

I agree the model name needs to be different. What about the .327 Unicorn Ultra Magnum (327 UUM) or 327 What took so long to get here??
I suppose in the old days (before internet) no one knew what the guys at S&W were cooking up. I wonder how long it took for the crew to think about the L frame and when it was actually distributed??

In the meantime I am so frustrated waiting for the hammerless 632 to appear!! As I mentioned before I have been spending my coins on other .32's instead. I got this model 331 Friday off of GB. I also have the hammerless model 332. You forget you are carrying them!!

Still see no reference on Smith's site regarding an L frame 8 shooter in .327 Fed.

I did see a nifty J farme from Pro Series that looked interesting in a 6 shooter but...(why am i not suprised that I've never seen this model in the flesh and Davidson's lists as "out of stock")...

inquiring minds still want to know, regardless of the nomenclature. :)

They want considerably more (+$200) than what the new Pro-Series 327's are going for on GB, so I think that it's overpriced. It's nice, but I'm not sure that it's worth that much more than a new 327. But I could be wrong; it's been known to happen on occasion. -S2

You had better try to buy that gun. Sometimes cash on the counter can bring a price down a bit, and that is one no one who actually shoots his guns should pass up. If you just look at them, then that's different thing.

I have never seen a 631 Target that wasn't a great shooter, and yes, the model was run and discontinued long before the lock came along.

As to the OP, I guess I would have to see this gun. It doesn't sound like the right way to go (I would have preferred a gun similar to a Model 19/66 with a 4-5-or-6 inch barrel), but it might be more interesting than it sounds. I take it that it is not actually scheduled for production... ?
