New Sport coming my way in NJ

Ever since our trouble started,I went to my local gun(candy)store I couldn't believe my eyes.There were at least 100 to 200 people in the store,so I did the next best thing go online nothing then starting posting for parts and rifles then I would get emails stating my part or rifle can in called within minutes gone it happen time and time again I was getting pissed...Then about a week ago I get a email stating they have S&W M&P 15 in stock and different models my mind starting to race drove down to the store the had them looked at it couldn't relive my luck gave them my ID card filled out the paperwork and then the bad news I had to wait 14 business days for my paperwork to get back....Yeah I know

be prepared to wait 21 days for your "instant" NICS check to come back from Trenton- instant my a**- anyway good luck with your M&P 15 Sport- I bought one a month ago and it shot well at 100 yds- I work in an LGS in northwest NJ every Friday- and good luck with ammo!

14 days, and I thought the 10 day wait is California was a pain!

On the ammo front, my buddy gave me a 20 round box to get started. My LGS had some Nosler 50 grain .224 bullets and 300 small rifle primers. I have some 4198 from loading my 243 so I can at least get started. Looking for some once fired brass to load more than 20 at a time.

I picked up a shotgun last week, took 17 days to clear NCIS. Where did you get the Sport - Cheyenne Mountain? I bought one there over a year ago and ordered another from a vendor on New Jersey Gun Forums. I work in Jackson.

Yes already have ammo on the way from Natchez coming tomorrow and Yes got it from Cheyenne and when I get it its over to Central Jersey Rifle and Pistole.Also thinking about reloading but you can only use the brass 3-4 times that bites.Any heads up on 22 long rifle seems none around and the prices...And when things get back to normal which is soon I hope will not be visiting these so called vendors any longer

Cabelas seems to be getting more in every day. You have to get on their site early and you can find most rounds. I'm getting 1000 rounds (winchester) from them soon. I belong to Monmouth Rifle and Pistol club, I would like to join CJ but the initial price is a killer. For 22Lr shooting I go to Warren Grove, and I shoot trap every Sunday at Groundswipers in Lacey.

I agree with the initial cost but you get 50 dollars off for meeting credit and another 50 for work credit check out the website if you want to visit give me a shout [email protected] we are a very friendly club

Enjoy your new Sport, they are a lot of fun. Give it a good cleaning before and after the first time out and it will treat you right.

Two things about my new Sport one the front sight adj tool missing already sent a email to CS.The second is there is grease on the bolt should this be removed or left alone does the bolt need to be greased or stripped off with solvent then oiled?

I have 2 Sports, and neither has come with the A2 adjuster. I bought them from Amazon prime for about $6. A guy at work that is a marine laughs when I told him I bought the tool, said the marines make them use a spent round.
I took my bolt out and sprayed it good with CLP to get the grease off. My second Sport had a ton of grease in the bolt area. I cleaned all the grease off and left a good amount of CLP on it. They like to run wet. I also ran a bore snake with a lot of CLP through the barrel until it was clean. I have not needed to adjust the front site, only the rear site. On one Sport I put on a Nikon P 223 Scope, and on the other put a Red dot and co-witnessed them with the sights.

rtquig I see we have been become pen pals lol when I got my 15-22 didnt have this so called problem its like a waxy sticky will try some hoppes bore cleaner.I tried to clean with FP-10 which I like a lot and doesn't stink up the kitchen,also have some kroil if the hoppes dont do the trick Will try to go to the range tomorrow since it will be cooler after this rain i hope..Again thanks for the helpful hints A

Here are my first 10 shots 7 landed in target the other 3 were low right off of the target on bench will need larger sand bags as the ones I have are too small for 100 yes.I think I did pretty well overall since I fell like a school boy getting his first kiss>

With my 15/22 it was a learning curve. At first I thought I didn't want the M&P 15 because the cost of ammo was so expensive. Now I know how expensive it really is LOL! I bought the bulk of my 5.56 last summer before the price went crazy, now I pick up 100 rounds here and there. At least with the rain, the temps have come down some. First time out, you did fine. I'm working at Manhattan Street at the M.U.A..

I have a 15-22 as well and with the 223 add,I shoild be set for awhile i hope lol your work location is in my backyard small world partner!!

Sure is ! I've been there for 10 years and managed to miss a shotgun slug the other day that hit a construction trailer on site.

Emailed Smith and Wesson twice about my missing front sight tool do they ship them with one or not cant get a answer one way or another.Ordered some more ammo and another question is can I add a muzzle brake or flash suppressor NJ legal.
