Just got this little gem this morning. It was a little tight at first but after carrying it around with the gun in it for a few hours, it fits perfect! I have carried it IWB and in my cargo pocket of my shorts and both work great so far. Well worth the money in my opinion!

I dig the Sticky. Nothing wrong with Remora though. I recently replaced all my remora holsters with the sticky no more than two months ago. Cant go wrong with either one but the material on the sticky feels better to me...

This is why I bought the sticky too. The material is really nice and doesnt chafe the skin like some of the others I have used.

What model number is that? MD-2? Any options or just a standard cut?

I bought a Blackhawk Size 4 pocket holster for my Shield 9mm and I'm keeping it in my Cargo pants pocket. It was only $9.99 at my LGS. Anyone know how the Blackhawk compares to the Sticky and/or Ramora?

The Sticky/Remora can be used IWB, whereas the Blackhawk is really just better suited for pocket use.
BTW Welcome to the forum!

I also have a BlackHawk #4 pocket holster for my 40 Shield, it seems to work great so far for me. I have had the pocket holster since the first of Dec. 2012

Yes the MD-2. This is the only cut but it is big enough (supposedly) to handle the shield with a trigger guard laser.

MD-2 Sticky Holster | Sticky Holsters | Redefining Concealment

When I ordered mine, I noticed the MD-4 listed the Shield, too. The sewn stitch gets in the way of the laser. In my order I stated "Likely will add LaserMax to it. I see the MD-4 fits in addition to the MD-2, but the MD-4 sewn cut looks like it won't accept the lasers while the MD-2 will."

When it arrived, I had received a MD-4, and hand-written on the packing slip was "straight line." That stitch was a straight line.

You can see the std stitch here:
MD-4 Sticky Holster | Sticky Holsters | Redefining Concealment

The MD-4 is clearly too big (lengthwise) for the Shield with or without the laser. I received this holster about a month before my Shield arrived at my LGS, so it was a while before I could test fit it. Meanwhile, I used it for my SW990Lc, and it fit it perfectly. I have no plans to send it back. It's a well-made piece. I can also stuff the end with cotton balls or an empty Chapstick tube, and then the Shield fits okay lengthwise.

With the laser installed, the fit is rather tight.

Pics 1-3 show the Shield fully inserted. In pic 4, the blue line shows where the nose is in order to have the rear sights and mag release just slightly outside the holster.

MD-2 is clearly the best fit. I don't know why they even list the Shield under the MD-4 description when MD-2 is ideal.

+1 on the MD-2.

Got a couple weeks ago from amazon.com. Works great for pocket carry in cargo shorts and loose fitting jeans. IWB as well.

I got a Sticky MD-2 for my Shield 9 and really like it. I can wear it for extended periods next to bare skin with no issues yet. Not sure if anyone noticed, but both Sticky and Remora are located in Naples, FL ...... coincidence ??? Was wondering if there could have been a split at some point ...both are same concept, etc. I ended up with the sticky as I had a dealer about 3 miles from my home so could try it out to make sure it fit and didn't have mag release issues or things mentioned in other postings. My other holster is the Tommy Theis IWB which I also like and as it gets broken in.....just keeps getting better.

There actually was a split, one of their guys suggested ramora to start using the sticky's material, they wouldn't go with it so he formed his own company and started producing/selling sticky holsters. Kind of bad for ramora but great for us!

I have been carrying my Shield in a Sticky for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. For me I like it better than any other holster I have ever tried. Made in the USA is nice too.

thanks for the info.......

my first post to the forum.

I ordered mine today for my new .40 Shield

My 640 rides in a Sticky in my trouser pocket, and never chafes skin or pocket lining. I like it a lot !
